Parents Representatives

Parents Representatives:

Our parent representatives are dedicated volunteers who play a crucial role within the team structure. Each team will be assigned a parent representative who acts as a bridge between the coach and the parents.

Outlined below are the responsibilities and perks associated with the Parent Representative role. If you're interested in taking on this role for your daughter's team, kindly inform your coach.

Benefits:

  • Free entry to all tournaments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain a USAV membership as a chaperone.
  2. Serve as a communication link between the coach and parents.
  3. Regularly interact with the coach to relay practice schedules, tournament changes, and other relevant information to the team.
  4. Compile a comprehensive team roster with player and parent names, contact details, school affiliations, and pertinent data.
  5. Coordinate snacks and food arrangements.
  6. Assist in organizing travel logistics for overnight tournaments.
  7. Collaborate with the coach to distribute tournament-related details among the team.
  8. Arrange hotel accommodations in tandem with other parent representatives traveling to the same tournaments.
  9. Occasionally, the parent rep might delegate another parent to assist with hotel bookings.
  10. If volunteers are required for locally hosted tournaments, the parent rep will help rally parents from their team for assistance.
  11. It's important to note that the parent rep is not an assistant coach and has no involvement in coaching decisions such as line-ups and playing time.
  12. Lastly, remember to add the team calendar to your Google account for easy reference.

Thank you for considering this vital role within the team. Your dedication and involvement contribute significantly to the players' overall experience.
